Building First-Class Programs for Multi-Unit Franchise Growth

Learn from our panel of multi-unit franchisees and development pros in the know! 52% of today’s franchise units are now operated by multi-unit franchisees, and experienced multi-unit/multi-brand operators continue expanding in spite of the economy. These high achievers seek opportunities to grow existing brands and diversify their portfolios by adding new franchise concepts. In order to attract these successful operators, you need to understand how empire builders find, investigate, and buy additional brands for their portfolios. This workshop will cover where to find and market to successful multi-unit operators, the research they do, the types of agreements they expect, what they need and want from their franchisors, and FDD deal breakers. A one-size-fits-all mentality doesn’t work. Panel speakers address considerations franchisors should be aware of when structuring multi-unit franchisee agreements for experienced operators. In Franchise Update’s recent survey of 90 multi-unit franchisees, 74% said FPRs are mandatory and 20% viewed them as important.
