Beach Sweeps 2015

Benetrends team members Kyle Blacken, Kori Harwood, Brittany Militello and Laura Yondura headed to Wildwood, NJ on June 8, 2015 to clean up the beach.
Nearly 120 pounds of trash, including balloons, cans, netting from beach toys, snack bags and even beaches and towels, were gathered from the beach and dunes. While cleaning up the area makes it look more appealing, it also helps keep wildlife safe.

It was also breeding season for the local Terrapin turtles. During this time, turtles can be seen traveling over the roads, and many don’t make it safely. The team saw a turtle crossing the road (because it wanted to) and helped in its journey.
